FRANKLIN, Ind. (AP) - New UCLA coach Steve Alford feels at home back in Indiana.

He spent Wednesday working with about 200 young boys and girls at Franklin College's basketball camp about 25 miles south of Indianapolis. For Alford, this has become an annual event.

But it's never been quite like this.

For the first time, he is wearing slightly lighter shades of Franklin's school colors - blue and gold - and was honored with a special brick at a dedication ceremony for a new reflection pool at the hospital where he was born.

This is a rare break from the day-to-day rigors of coaching major college basketball, though UCLA was clearly on Alford's mind as he spoke about a bright future for one of college basketball's most prestigious programs.
