Less than a year after tearing his ACL, Vikings running back Adrian Peterson came within nine yards of breaking the NFL single-season rushing record -- NFL Films did a fantastic job
following him during Sunday's game against the Packers -- and he's not slowing down as the playoffs approach. Peterson told reporters that he's ready to play another 12 games
if he had to, and if he had his way, it wouldn't just be on offense.
Special teams coach Mike Priefer said Peterson has asked him to play with the unit many times but head coach Leslie Frazier won't hear any of it. The lesson (as the above photo illustrated): Adrian Peterson is a freak of nature.
Man of the People
Whether you're a Indians fan or not, it's tough not to like
second baseman Jason Kipnis after this story. A fan snagged his phone number off a golf bag at Progressive Field and randomly texted Kipnis to say he's a big fan. Instead of getting angry like some other baseball players might do,
Kipnis reposted the conversation on his Twitter feed.
Hats off to Florida linebacker Darrin Kitchens who despite not playing a snap in his team's loss to Louisville, returned to the field after last night's Sugar Bowl
to sing the school's alma mater for the last time this season.
You've probably seen this before but with Andy Reidpossibly heading to Kansas City,
it seemed appropriate to bust out this footage of the coach competing in a Punt, Pass, and Kick competition during a Monday Night Football game in 1971.
Jets Video Of The Day
This year was a brutal season for the Jets, and here's a four-minute blooper reel of all the lowlights.
