TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Bobby Bowden has not returned to a football game at Florida State since his retirement after the 2009 season. That will change in October.

The college football hall of famer will attend Florida State games on Oct. 26 against N.C. State and Nov. 16 vs. Syracuse.

Florida State will honor Bowden and the 1993 national championship team during the game against Syracuse as part of a 20th anniversary of the Seminoles' first football national title.

The 83-year-old Bowden also guided Florida Stare to the 1999 national title and helped the Seminoles to a 14-year run of top-5 finishes in The Associated Press poll from 1987-2000.

He coached at Florida State from 1976-2009. Bowden is 377-129-4 all-time as a head coach.
