PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Gary Nova threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns as the Scarlet beat the White 57-19 in Rutgers spring game on Saturday.

Rutgers used the game to raise money for people victimized by Hurricane Sandy in October.

There was also a rally held on campus to support fired Athletic Director Tim Pernetti. He was let go after basketball coach Mike Rice was fired for physically and verbally abusing players.

Pernetti originally decided to suspend Rice in December, but when videos of Rice's actions were revealed the outcry led to him and Pernetti being ousted.

Rutgers has yet to replace Pernetti.
