HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Eclipse Award winner Royal Delta bobbled at the start but quickly recovered and drew away in the backstretch for a dominating victory Sunday in the $100,000 Sabin Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

Ridden by Mike Smith, Royal Delta ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.31. All for Thee, who was ridden by Jose Lezcano, finished second, 3 1/2 lengths clear of Grace Hall, the 2-1 second choice.

Royal Delta, the 2-5 favorite, paid $2.80, $2.20 and $2.10. All for Thee paid $5.80 and $2.40, and Grace Hall paid $2.10.

Royal Delta's victory capped a big weekend for trainer Bill Mott, who saddled three winners at Gulfstream on Saturday, including The Very One Stakes winner Starformer.

Royal Delta is scheduled to run in the $10 million Dubai World Cup on March 30.
