ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) - Bright Thought won the $58,000 feature for older horses by 51/4 lengths at Santa Anita on Thursday.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Bright Thought ran 11/4 miles on the turf in 1:57.86 and paid $5, $2.60 and $2.60 as the 3-2 favorite.

"I had so much horse," he said. "I didn't want to fight him, so I let him go a little early around the far turn. He's so good right now and he won real easy."

France-bred Saint Loup returned $3 and $3, while Toruk Makto was another two lengths back in third and paid $4.20 to show.

The victory, worth $34,800, increased Bright Thought's career earnings to $74,500, with three wins in six starts.
