Irish jockey still in hospital after neck injury |


CHELTENHAM, England (AP) - A doctor says Irish jockey JT McNamara is in a medically induced coma after fracturing two vertebrae in his neck following a fall from his horse at the Cheltenham Festival.
The 37-year-old McNamara was airlifted to a hospital after coming off Galaxy Rock in a race on Thursday.
Dr. Adrian McGoldrick, senior medical officer of the Irish Turf Club, says in a statement released Friday that McNamara he has been joined by his wife, Caroline.
McGoldrick says there will be no update on McNamara's condition until Saturday.
