Freud's Notebook wins Sonia's Scamp Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) - Freud's Notebook led all the way in the $73,500 Sonia's Scamp Stakes, beating Shesabronxbomber by 1 1/2 lengths on Wednesday at Aqueduct.

Jose Ortiz guided the 6-year-old to her eighth win in 40 starts. It was her debut for trainer Linda Rice who claimed Freud's Notebook for $35,000 from her previous race.

Freud's Notebook covered the 1-mile race for New York-bred fillies and mares in 1:38.47 and paid paid $7.10, $3.10 and $2.30. Shesabronxbomber returned $3.60 and $2.20 while Harbor Mist, the 4-5 favorite, paid $2.10.
