Silverette wins Aqueduct feature in comeback race

NEW YORK (AP) - Silverette won the $62,720 allowance feature at Aqueduct on Friday in her first start since last June.

The gray 4-year-old beat Ann's Smart Dancer by one length in the race for fillies and mares. It was her third win in six starts.

Silverette, ridden by Rajiv Maragh was trained by Dale Romans, was timed for the six furlongs in 1:11.40.

She paid $6.30, $3.80 and $3.20 as the 2-1 second choice. Ann's Smart Dance returned $4.30 and $2.80 while Smoldering Beauty, the 9-5 favorite, paid $2.70 to show.
