Rainbow Heir wins Monmouth Park allowance feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) - Rainbow Heir took the lead early and ran to an easy win in the $55,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Sunday, beating Score the Gold by two lengths.

Ridden by Elvis Trujillo and trained by Ben Perkins Jr., the 3-year-old colt ran the six furlongs over a fast track in 1:08 2-5 and returned $3, $2.20 and $2.10. Rainbow Heir has won all three of his career starts and has now earned $77,460 overall.

Score the Gold paid $3.40 and $2.40, and Crafty Concorde was another 2 1/2 length back in third and returned $4.20.
