ASCOT, England (AP) - Animal Kingdom is coming a long way to Royal Ascot, chasing one last win.

The winner of the Kentucky Derby in 2011 and the $10 million Dubai World Cup this year is to be retired to stud after running the Queen Anne Stakes on Tuesday.

Not since 1936 has a Kentucky Derby winner competed at Royal Ascot. Owner Graham Motion says it will be a "huge challenge'' to win in such different conditions, even though Animal Kingdom is the odds-on favorite.

Motion says there are "so many variables'' that he's not sure he'd make the U.S. horse an odds-on shot, but "we're not ducking anyone.''
