Escapefromreality wins Albany Stakes

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - Escapefromreality won the $150,000 Albany Stakes for New York-bred 3-year-olds on Wednesday at Saratoga Race Course, beating favored Amberjack by 2 lengths.

Escapefromreality, ridden by Javier Castellano and trained by Dominick Schittino, ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:51.61 and earned $90,000 for MeB Racing Stables and the Brooklyn Boyz Stable.

Escapefromreality paid $8.50, $3.40 and $2.50, Amberjack returned $2.20 and $2.10, and Smooth Bert paid $2.80. Amberjack lost in a bid to sweep the Big Apple Triple Series.
