Eintracht sends defender Demidov to Celta Vigo

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) -Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt says it has sent central defender Vadim Demidov on loan to Celta Vigo until the end of the season.

The occasional Norway international played for Real Sociedad in Spain already before coming to Frankfurt at the start of this season. Demidov found it hard to earn a place in the starting 11. His contract runs through mid-2015.

Eintracht is seeking to bring back former defender Marco Russ from Wolfsburg. The Frankfurt club is in fourth place, equal on points with defending champion Borussia Dortmund, after being promoted.
