Olympiakos beats Veria 3-0 in Greek league

ATHENS, Greece (AP) -Defending champion Olympiakos scored all 3 of its goals in the second half to beat visiting Veria 3-0 in the Greek league Sunday.

Costas Mitroglou opened the scoring with a diving header in the 54th minute, Rafik Djebbour converted a penalty in the 86th for his league-leading 13th goal and Marko Pantelic made it 3-0 with a header in injury time, seconds after entering the game as a substitute. Colombian winger Juan Pablo Pino, making his debut with Olympiakos, assisted on the first and third goals with crosses.

The win kept Olympiakos eight points ahead of second-place PAOK, which won 4-1 at Panthrakikos.

Also Sunday, Aris beat Panionios 2-1 and Atromitos defeated Kerkyra 2-0.
