SAO PAULO (AP) -Former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato says he is fit and ready to play for Corinthians, calling the Brazilian club "the best team in the world.''

Pato was introduced Friday at Corinthians club headquarters in Sao Paulo.

The 23-year-old Brazil international ended his stay with Milan last week after he signed a four-year contract with Corinthians.

Pato says "I have never been as fit as now. All I want to do is play and show my value to all the fans of Corinthians.''

Pato arrived in Sao Paulo on Thursday.
