RUSTENBURG, South Africa (AP) -Emmanuel Adebayor says he is not worried about making an impression at the African Cup of Nations. He just wants to score goals.

The Togo captain has downplayed those criticizing him for having yet to display a great performance at the tournament, saying that his focus is to score and help his team win, not to show off his skills.

He says fans shouldn't expect to see "the great Adebayor'' on the field, they should just look for "a goal-scoring Adebayor.''

The Tottenham striker got his first goal of the tournament in the 2-0 win over Algeria on Saturday, putting his team in position to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time ever.

Togo needs at least a draw against Tunisia in their final Group D match on Wednesday.
