Rapids midfielder Rivero has foot fracture

DENVER (AP) - Colorado Rapids midfielder Martin Rivero is expected to miss two to three months while recovering from a fracture in his right foot.

Rivero was injured Tuesday in a preseason match against the Portland Timbers. The Rapids lost 3-1.

The Rapids said Rivero was returning to Denver on Wednesday for further evaluation of his injury.
