Freiburg signs Hendrick Zuck from Kaiserslautern

BERLIN (AP) -Bundesliga side Freiburg has signed promising midfielder Hendrick Zuck from German second division club Kaiserslautern.

Freiburg sport director Dirk Dufner says the 22-year-old Zuck, who can play across a range of positions in midfield, "already has a lot of experience in professional football and will now take the next step.''

Zuck scored four goals in 18 league games for Kaiserslautern.

He told Freiburg's website that he had been following the club's development for some time and that "I regard the clear Freiburg concept highly.''

Freiburg did not release contract details and both sides agreed not to disclose the transfer fee.

Meanwhile, Werder Bremen announced that 18-year-old forward Davie Selke will join its youth setup after transferring from Bundesliga rival Hoffenheim.
