GRANADA, Spain (AP) -Granada has signed Argentine midfielder Diego Buonanotte from Spanish league rival Malaga.

Granada says on its club website that the 24-year-old attacking midfielder has joined the struggling team for 4 1/2 seasons.

Buonanotte scored five goals in 42 games for Malaga since arriving from River Plate in 2011.

Granada fired coach Juan Anquela and hired his replacement Lucas Alcaraz on Wednesday. The team also signed forward Manuel "Nolito'' Agudo from Benfica.

Granada is two points above the Spanish league's relegation zone after only five wins in 21 games this season.
