LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) -FIFA executive committee member Jacques Anouma presented his case on Friday at sports' highest court to be accepted as a Confederation of African Football presidential candidate against long-time incumbent Issa Hayatou.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport says its panel aims to give a verdict within days.

If the Ivory Coast official loses his case, Hayatou will stand unopposed on March 10 in Marrakech, Morocco, after engineering rules changes which blocked his expected rivals from challenging him.

CAF member nations voted 44-6 last September to allow only "current or former members'' of its ruling board as candidates. Anouma is granted only non-voting membership rights by his FIFA position.

FIFA President Sepp Blatter attended the CAF rules vote in the Seychelles and endorsed the victory for Hayatou, a FIFA vice president from Cameroon.
