BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -Fourth-place Malaga was held to a 1-1 home draw by Real Zaragoza in the Spanish league on Sunday, as forward Julio Baptista returned to the pitch after a 16-month layoff with a broken right foot.

Striker Helder Postiga side-footed a long pass into the far corner of the net to open the scoring for Zaragoza 13 minutes in.

Francisco "Isco'' Alarcon leveled for Malaga 10 minutes later by converting a penalty after Javier Parades had handled the ball in the box.

Isco and Zaragoza's Antonio "Apono'' Galdeano would both hit the woodwork, but neither side was able to get the winner.

Baptista went on in the 70th to hearty applause from the La Rosaleda crowd. Malaga, however, lost Eliseu Pereira and Joaquin Sanchez to apparent leg injuries during the game.
