Season likely over for Wolfsburg's Vaclav Pilar

WOLFSBURG, Germany (AP) -Forward Vaclav Pilar is unlikely to play for Wolfsburg again this season following knee surgery nearly five months ago.

The Bundesliga club's coach, Dieter Hecking, says Pilar was not expected to play until the end of the season and that "anything else would be a surprise.''

Pilar was injured in August while on national team duty for the Czech Republic. He had surgery in September.
