Rangers agrees to sell Ibrox stadium naming rights |

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -One of the most famous stadium names in football is set to disappear after Glasgow club Rangers agreed to sell the naming rights to Ibrox.
Rangers chief executive Charles Green says a deal is being finalized with retailer Sports Direct.
The company's majority shareholder is Newcastle owner Mike Ashley, whose own ground was briefly re-named the Sports Direct Arena.
Green told Scottish broadcaster STV that selling the naming rights to Ibrox "was always an issue for fans but I think the fans accept now that this is something that we have to do.''
The record 54-time Scottish champions are playing in the fourth tier this season following the club's financial meltdown last year.
Ibrox has been Rangers' home ground since 1889.
