Brisbane into A-League semi with chance to repeat

ADELAIDE, Australia (AP) -Defending champion Brisbane beat Adelaide United 2-1 Sunday to advance to the Australian A-League semifinals and a chance to retain its title.

Luke Brattan scored in the 28th minute and Ivan Franjic on halftime for Brisbane to set up a semifinal next Friday against the first-place Western Sydney Wanderers.

Dario Vidosic scored with a minute left in regulation for Adelaide.

Central Coast Mariners will host Melbourne Victory in the other semifinal next Sunday. The Victory beat Perth Glory 2-1 in extra time Friday.

The semifinal winners will play April 21 in the grand final.
