Simons leaves Nuremberg for Brugge
NUREMBERG, Germany (AP) -Belgium midfielder Timmy Simons is leaving Nuremberg to return to FC Brugge.
The Bundesliga club says Simons asked to be released from his contract one year early so that he could return to the Belgian club where he played from 2000 to 2005.
The 36-year-old is getting a two-year contract with an option to join the coaching staff. Nuremberg did not release details of the deal.
Simons arrived in Nuremberg in 2010 from PSV Eindhoven.
