SION, Switzerland (AP) - Ghana forward Ebenezer Assifuah, the top scorer at the Under-20 World Cup last month, has joined Swiss club Sion.

Sion says Assifuah has signed a five-year contract. The fee to Ghanaian club Liberty Professionals was not disclosed.

Sion has failed to score in its first five league matches this season and is ninth in the 10-team division.

Assifuah's six goals at the FIFA tournament in Turkey helped Ghana finish third.

Two of his goals came in a 4-1 win against the United States in a group match, and one came in Ghana's 3-0 victory over Iraq in the third-place match.
