LIVERPOOL, England (AP) - Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says the club's dispute with Luis Suarez has been "resolved'' following an offseason dominated by transfer speculation involving the Uruguay striker.

Suarez disappointed Rodgers by going public with his desire to leave Liverpool after Premier League rival Arsenal made a bid in excess of 40 million pounds ($62.5 million) for the player.

However, Suarez returned to first-team training on Friday and was applauded by fans when he attended Liverpool's 1-0 win at Stoke on Saturday, a match he missed because of suspension.

Rodgers says "I am satisfied with how everything has been resolved and we as a club are looking to the future.''

Rodgers added that Suarez "is smiling and happy and we'll move on.''
