Liverpool's unbeaten start to the Premier League season ended Saturday with a 1-0 loss at home to Southampton. Everton won 3-2 at West Ham to remain the league's only unbeaten club.

Dejan Lovren scored on a header to win it for Southampton. Everton rallied in the second half against West Ham, with Leighton Baines scoring twice before Romelu Lukaku headed in the decisive goal.

In a game between the league's two winless teams, West Bromwich Albion defeated Sunderland 3-0. Hull came from behind to win 3-2 at Newcastle, and Aston Villa ended a three-game losing streak by downing Norwich 1-0.
