CHICAGO (AP) - Julian Green, an 18-year-old forward for Bayern Munich's reserves, will attend the U.S. national team's training camp in Europe next month but is not eligible to play for the Americans.

A citizen of the U.S. and Germany, Green has played for Germany's under-19 team in official matches and would have to apply for FIFA for a change in association. Green attended a U.S. under-18 training camp in September 2012.

U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann on Friday called Green a ''tremendous talent'' and says the team has been scouting him for more than two years. Says Klinsmann: ''We believe we could help him grow into a special player.''

The Americans have qualified for their seventh straight World Cup and play exhibitions at Scotland on Nov. 14 and at Austria four days later.
