MOSCOW (AP) - The Russian track and field federation says European indoor silver medalist Olesya Syreva has been banned for two years for doping.

The ban annuls all her results since March 3, 2011, meaning the 29-year-old Syreva will lose the medal she won for finishing second in the 3,000 meters at the European indoor championships in Paris.

The federation says tests showed an abnormal hemoglobin profile in her biological passport.

A two-year ban for the same offense also was imposed on Russian marathon runner Mikhail Lemaev, who finished 45th at the 2009 world championships in Berlin.

Bans on both runners went into effect last Friday.
