NEW YORK (AP) - Olympic silver medalist Will Claye won the triple jump Saturday in the New Balance Games with an Armory-record mark of 55 feet, 11 inches.

''I did what I wanted to do in my first meet of the season,'' Claye said. ''The surface here is really fast. The crowd was wonderful and there was a lot of attention and spotlight on me and that felt good.

''I have some big goals for Rio (2016 Olympics). I want to win the gold in both the long jump and the triple jump. Right now, I feel I'm on pace to do that.''

In the 600 meters, Duane Solomon edged American-record holder Erik Sowinski with time of 1 minute, 16.67 seconds. Sowinski finished in 1:16.78.

Olympian Kim Conley won the women's mile in 4:24.54, and Shaunae Miller took the women's 300 in 36.40 - both Armory record. Britain's Lee Emanuel won the men's mile in 3:54.30.
