 What happens when the club hits the ball? A look at the physics of golf could reveal some clues to improving your game.



 A golfer's swing is an example of torque - using force to create rotation. The golfer twists his hips and his shoulders to swing the club. The energy he exerts is transferred to the clubhead, which propels the golf ball when the two collide.
