1975 - Jack Nicklaus
The 38-foot putt that Jack Nicklaus holed on the 16th green in the final round of the 1975 Masters Tournament prompted a celebratory trot from the Golden Bear, and for good reason.
The birdie propelled Nicklaus past Johnny Miller and Tom Weiskopf for a record fifth Masters title.
"I saw the 'Bear' tracks," Miller said. "That made the tournament."
1984 - Ben Crenshaw
Ben Crenshaw cemented his reputation as one of the game's best putters in the 1984 Masters.
With his closest competitors watching from the fairway, Crenshaw sank a 60-foot putt in the final round on the 10th hole. Instead of three-putting from long range, he had made the putt of his life. He went on to win by two shots over Tom Watson.
"I couldn't do that again if I had a thousand balls," Crenshaw said.
1998 - Mark O'Meara
Mark O'Meara became just the fifth golfer to birdie the final hole to win the Masters in 1998.
The 20-foot putt averted what looked like a certain playoff against David Duval and Fred Couples. O'Meara joined Art Wall (1959), Arnold Palmer (1960), Gary Player (1978) and Sandy Lyle (1998) as the only players to birdie the final hole to win the Masters.
"When I was over the putt, I said to myself, 'This is what it's all about. This is what you come to play for,' " O'Meara said.
