Perhaps you have dreamed of capturing the Masters title, like Carl the assistant greenskeeper in the 1980 comedy Caddyshack, while hitting chip shots in the back yard.
``What an incredible story. This unknown comes out of nowhere to lead the pack at Augusta,'' says Carl (Bill Murray), doing his own play by play as he whacks flowers in front of the clubhouse with a sling blade. ``The crowd is standing on its feet here at Augusta. The normally reserved Augusta crowd is going wild for this young Cinderella. He's come out of nowhere. ... The crowd has gone deafly silent. Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become Masters champion.''
But you don't have to ruin your garden or risk arrest by trespassing on the hallowed grounds of the Augusta National in emulation of Carl. Just watch his hilarious routine in a special 19th anniversary edition of Caddyshack being released today by Warner Home Video.
The special-edition video includes a documentary with previously unreleased outtakes and interviews with producer Jon Peters, director Harold Ramis, Chevy Chase, Cindy Morgan and other cast members.
It is available at video stores, including Suncoast Motion Picture Co. in Augusta Mall for $15.99 and Blockbuster Video on East Martintown Road in North Augusta for $14.99.
