Hole 12
Par 3, 155 Yards
The shortest and maybe the deadliest of them all. The narrow, canted green is guarded by Rae's Creek and threatens not the easiest of shots in the little pitch across the water after your tee shot splashed into the creek. A shot from one trap at the back toward the water is one of the more frightening shots in tournament golf.

How Fred Couples plays this hole
1. You want to feel comfortable and pick the right club and make the swing that will hit the ball that far. If you get a little jumpy, you've got some problems.
2. It's a very hard hole. My strategy is to try to hit the right club. My goal is to hit it at the pin every time, except when it's way to the right.
Historical Note
In the final round of the 1992 Masters, Couples' tee shot inexplicably stayed on the bank in front of the green instead of rolling back in the water. He took advantage of the break and chipped up and made a par en route to victory.
