Hole 13
Par 5, 465 Yards
Short for a par 5, but jealously guarded by a little creek that runs along the left side of the fairway before crossing just in front of the green and running past it to the right, barely off the putting surface. It can be reached in two by the long hitter with as little as a middle iron.

How Ray Floyd plays this hole
1. The perfect way to play the hole is to start your tee shot toward the pines on the right side of the fairway and then get it drawing just a little bit.
2. It will hit the hill that slopes from right to left and the ball will take a good, hard bounce and put you in position with the opportunity to go for the green. It's one of the most incredible holes, because no matter how long you hit it off the tee, you're standing there with a hanging lie with the ball above you, and you're playing into a green that is narrow from the players' view.
3. On your second shot, if you go for the green, you're not really shooting at a pin. Most of the eagles that are made happen when the pin is in the back-right. You play to the left side or middle of the green, and if your shot is long enough, it feeds itself to the pin.
Historical Note
Starting in 1974, Floyd birdied this hole in 13 straight rounds. His play on the par-5s was a key to his victory in 1976.
