Hole 4
Par 3, 205 Yards
A fine one-shot hole that can require a wood shot from even the long hitters. The green is wide. A shot sent to the wrong side of the green can leave a putt as long as 75 or 80 feet.

How Jeff Sluman plays this hole
1. The hardest thing about the hole is figuring out where the wind is because it always seems to swirl back in that corner. It's probably the most demanding shot you'll face till that point in the early round, other than the nerves you face on the first tee.
2. You can't miss it into the right bunker because you know you'll be facing 20 feet for par unless you hit a miraculous sand shot.
3. When the tee is up for a back-right pin, you have to be careful because I've seen a bunch of guys rip it over the green trying to squeeze it in there, because there's not as much green as you think on the right.
Historical Note
Sluman aced the longest par-3 on the course in 1992, with his 4-iron tracking to the back-left pin and dropping as if it were a tap-in putt from 213 yards.
