He pitched his first complete game of the season in the Midwest Regional final 3-1 victory over Georgia Tech on Monday. RHP Chuck Crumpton is one of the top relievers in the nation with five saves and a 2.89 ERA, striking out 61 and walking 31 over 62 1/3 innings. Another RHP Aaron Kramer, went 8-2 with a 3.86 ERA in 25 appearances. His 2-0 record in regional play was a big reason the Sun Devils advanced. The pitching staff has combined for four two-hitters and a one-hitter this season. The team ERA was 4.85 with five pitchers under the five runs/per game mark. Junior 3B Andrew Beinbrink is the anchor of the infield and one of only three players to start every game this season. He leads the team with nine homers, 22 doubles and 77 RBI, and is third on the team in runs scored (58) and hits (71). Senior RF Mikel Moreno will be closing out one of the best careers in school history. So far this season, he is batting .359 with 52 RBI and 92 hits. Moreno, a two-year starter who also has swiped 25 bases, is the school's all-time leader in runs scored with 231. LF Willie Bloomquist (.413) and DH Casey Myers (.385) top the team in batting. The Sun Devils have not been shut out in their last 191 games.
