WILLIAMSPORT, Pennsylvania (Ticker) -- Bellaire, Texas rode a power attack from Mike Johnson to a 4-2 victory over Davenport, Iowa on Tuesday night.

Johnson hit two of three homers by Bellaire, which had just four hits. He hit a solo homer in the first and a go-ahead two-run shot in the third. Johnson had a chance to become just the fourth player in Little League World Series history to hit three homers in a game but singled in his last at-bat in the fifth.

Ross Haggard, who pitched a one-hitter in Bellaire's opener, added a solo homer in the fourth for an insurance run. He also pitched a scoreless sixth, saving the victory for Drew Zizinia.

Zizinia overcame a rough start that saw him walk one batter, hit another and throw a wild pitch in the first inning as Davenport (1-1) scored twice. But he surrendered nothing thereafter and combined with Haggard on a five-hitter.

Bellaire (2-1) has completed pool play and awaits the outcome of Wednesday's Vancouver-Davenport game.

Eight teams -- four from the U.S. and four International -- are squaring off here for the right to be the best pre-teen baseball team in the world. Next year, the Little League World Series expands to 16 teams.

Pool play concludes with two games Wednesday before Thursday's International and U.S. Championship games. The world title game is Saturday.
