CNNSI.com tracks Barry Bonds' pursuit of the 600-homer milestone.

Barry Bonds needed only 710 at-bats between his 500th and 600th home runs.  AP
Mission accomplished. Barry Bonds hit his 600th career homer on Aug. 9, 2002, capping an incredible two-year power surge by becoming the fourth player to reach the milestone. With a 421-foot blast off Kip Wells in the sixth inning, Bonds joined Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth and Willie Mays in the exclusive club.
