BINGHAMTON, New York (Ticker) -- Jeremy Griffiths hurled a complete game as the Binghamton Mets defeated the Trenton Thunder, 4-2, to earn a sweep of their doubleheader. Griffiths (2-0), who yielded a run over six innings for the win in his last outing for Binghamton on July 25, allowed two unearned runs, scattered four hits and fanned eight for the seven-inning victory. Juan Lebron doubled home a run in the third inning that gave the Mets a 3-2 lead and Mike Curry laced a base hit in the second that plated his 110th of the season. The Mets have won two straight after losing five of six. Luis Garcia, who doubled home a run in the first game, doubled and scored in the seventh for Trenton, which has lost six of its last eight games versus the Mets. Derrin Ebert (7-9) gave up four runs -- two earned -- and nine hits over four innings for the loss.
