Posted: Fri August 4, 2000 at 11:54 p.m. EDT OTTAWA (EXPOS) 5, PAWTUCKET (RED SOX) 4OTTAWA (Ticker) -- Jamey Carroll drove home the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Ottawa Lynx slipped past the Pawtucket Red Sox, 5-4. Carroll, who had his fourth four-hit game of the season, scored Kenny James with a single to left field, snapping a 4-4 tie. Pat Lennon knocked in a pair of runs for Ottawa, which evened the season series with Pawtucket six games apiece. Scott Mitchell (6-5) allowed one run and two hits in two innings but was credited with the win and Pat Flury hurled a scoreless ninth to notch his fourth save. Dario Perez (2-1) allowed two runs -- one earned -- and three hits over 1 2/3 innings to take the loss.
