NEW YORK (AP) -- Nine players from last year's game were picked again Thursday to play in this year's All-Star Futures game.

Among the players who appeared last year, 13 already are in the major leagues: Rick Ankiel (Cardinals), Tony Armas Jr. (Expos), Peter Bergeron (Expos), Lance Berkman (Astros), Russell Branyan (Indians), Pat Burrell (Phillies), Francisco Cordero (Rangers), Erubiel Durazo (Diamondbacks), Rafael Furcal (Braves), Adam Kennedy (Angels), Mark Mulder (Athletics), Brad Penny (Marlins) and Kip Wells (White Sox).

The game will be played July 9 at Atlanta's Turner Field, two days before the All-Star game.

The 25-man rosters, picked by Baseball America in conjunction with thecommissioner's office and the 30 teams (x-played in 1999 game):

United States roster

Catchers: Brandon Inge (Detroit), x-Ben Petrick (Colorado)

First baseman: Eric Munson (Detroit)

Second basemen: Marcus Giles (Atlanta), Jason Romano (Texas)

Third basemen: Sean Burroughs (San Diego), Drew Henson (New York Yankees)

Shortstop: Travis Dawkins (Cincinnati)
