OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- Joaquin Benoit pitched a three-hitter and Jason Romano supplied the offense with a solo home run as the Oklahoma Red Hawks blanked the Memphis Redbirds, 1-0.

Benoit, (9-5), who allowed a run and five hits over eight innings in his last start, yielded singles in the first, fourth and sixth frames and issued a pair of walks while striking out a season-high 12 batters to win his third straight start.

Romano led off the bottom of the fourth with his fourth home run of the season for Oklahoma, which has won 12 of its last 15 games.

Alan Benes (7-6) suffered the tough-luck loss for Memphis, allowing a run and five hits, striking out four without issuing a walk, in eight innings, his first complete game this season.

Luis Garcia, Brant Brown and Bill Ortega each had a hit for the Redbirds, who have won seven of their last nine games.
