| Fans were seeing Reds at the 1957 All-Star Game. Cincinnati boosters elected their players to start at all positions except first base. Commissioner Ford Frick then stepped in, allowing only five of the Reds to start: (from left) Ed Bailey, Don Hoak, Frank Robinson, Roy McMillian and Johnny Temple. |
