Beantown Bombers

Boston slugs Indians to earn first ALCS berth since 1990

Even in a series full of unlikely heroes, Pedro Martinez made his mark. The AL Cy Young shoo-in entered in the fourth inning and held the Indians hitless for six innings, giving Boston a 12-8 come-from-behind win at Jacobs Field. The win sends Boston to New York for a Wednesday night matchup with the Yankees in Game 1 of the ALCS.
