Yankees keep A's at bay, advance to ninth ALCS
Too old. No offense. Unreliable bullpen. There were those who counted the Yankees out after their brutal September slide. But New York served notice they are not ready to relinquish their crown just yet with a 7-5 victory in Game 5 of the Division Series with Oakland. New York advances to its ninth ALCS against Seattle beginning Tuesday at Yankee Stadium.
