CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Frank Castillo hopes to continue his recent run of success this afternoon when the Toronto Blue Jays visit the Cleveland Indians in the opener of a three-game series.

Castillo (5-5) has won his last four starts, including Thursday's 12-3 triumph at Tampa Bay in which he allowed three runs and 10 hits over a season-high eight innings. The righthander has yielded just nine runs during his win streak and has gone at least seven innings in each outing.

He did not fare as well in his only start against Cleveland this season, allowing five runs and five hits over 6 2/3 innings in a 10-8 setback. But Castillo did not receive a decision in that contest and is 1-1 all-time against the Indians.

Toronto ace David Wells earned his major league-leading 14th win Monday as the Blue Jays avoided a four-game sweep in Baltimore with a 6-4 victory. The Blue Jays hold a 1 1/2-game lead over the New York Yankees in the American League East.

Cleveland snapped a four-game losing streak with a 7-1 victory against Minnesota on Sunday, but is 11 games behind the Chicago White Sox in the Central Division.

Bartolo Colon (7-5) looks to rebound from a rough outing at Kansas City on Thursday. The hard-throwing righthander was pounded for five runs over 3 2/3 innings in a 6-1 loss. Colon also tied a major league record by walking the first four batters he faced and a personal season-high six overall.

Colon has not faced the Blue Jays this season, but beat them in successive starts last September and is 2-1 lifetime them.

Toronto.

These teams split a four-game series in Toronto from May 4-7.
