SCOTTSDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Felix Escalona doubled in the tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning and scored the winning run on Cody Ransom's single as the San Francisco Giants rallied for a 9-8 Cactus League victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. The Giants took a 7-6 lead into the top of the ninth and gave the ball to Felix Diaz, who had given up just one hit in his first six spring appearances. But Rob Sasser delivered a two-run double to put Milwaukee in front. San Francisco starter Ryan Jensen went six innings and gave up three runs and seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Manny Aybar tossed a scoreless seventh, but Aaron Fultz surrendered three unearned runs while retiring just two batters in the eighth. Brewers starter Glendon Rusch also was roughed up, allowing four runs and six hits in four innings. Ryan Glynn took the loss after giving up three hits and two runs in the ninth. Reggie Sanders continued his solid spring with two hits and two RBI and Jensen also drove in two runs for the Giants. Henry Blanco had a two-run single and Ryan Thompson doubled twice for Milwaukee. |
