TUCSON, Arizona (Ticker) -- Quinton McCracken continued his strong spring by singling in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Arizona Diamondbacks edged the San Francisco Giants, 4-3, in a Cactus League game.

McCracken raised his spring average to .412 when his infield hit plated Matt Kata. The single was the Diamondbacks' fourth consecutive hit off loser Chad Zerbe.

Mike Myers struck out one in the ninth to finish off a dominant effort by the Arizona bullpen. Erik Sabel tossed two hitless innings after starter Rick Helling allowed three runs and eight hits in six frames.

Luis Gonzalez slugged a two-run shot in the fifth off Giants starter Kirk Rueter, giving him homers in five straight games and six of his last seven.

Rueter gave up three runs and six hits in five innings and Jay Witasick followed with three scoreless innings for San Francisco, which got a solo homer from Damon Minor.
